Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all purchases and registrations with Drive Aarhus. By registering for a course or purchasing a package, you accept the terms below.

2. Registration and Payment

Registration for driving courses takes place via our website driveaarhus.dk. Upon registration, a binding agreement is entered into between you and Drive Aarhus.

• Payment is made via our website using Stripe (credit/debit card) or by invoice upon agreement.
• Full payment for the chosen package must be made before the course starts, unless otherwise agreed.
• All prices on the website are stated in Danish kroner (DKK) and include VAT.
• You will receive an order confirmation by email after completing registration and payment.
• Drive Aarhus reserves the right to change prices. Price changes do not affect existing agreements.

3. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (forbrugeraftaleloven), you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date you register for a course. The right of withdrawal applies unless instruction has already commenced with your express consent.

• The right of withdrawal is exercised by contacting us in writing at kontakt@driveaarhus.dk within 14 days of the registration date.
• If instruction has commenced within the withdrawal period with your consent, we may deduct an amount corresponding to the instruction already delivered.
• Refunds are made within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice and will be returned via the same payment method used for the purchase.

4. Cancellation and Refund

In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, the following cancellation rules apply:

• Before course start: Cancellation more than 14 days before the course start date entitles you to a full refund minus an administration fee of DKK 500.
• Less than 14 days before course start: Cancellation less than 14 days before the course start date entitles you to a 50% refund of the course fee.
• After course start: Once the course has begun, no refund is given for theory instruction. However, unused driving lessons may be used within 12 months.
• Special circumstances: In cases of documented illness or other special circumstances, an alternative solution may be arranged on a case-by-case basis.

5. Driving Lessons

Booking Driving Lessons

• Driving lessons are booked directly with your instructor by phone, SMS, or email.
• Lessons are scheduled by mutual agreement and subject to the instructor’s availability.
• A driving lesson lasts 45 minutes as standard (one lesson unit per traffic authority regulations).

Cancellation of Driving Lessons

• Cancellation must be given at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.
• Cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the lesson being counted as completed and deducted from your package.
• No-shows without notice will also be counted as completed lessons.
• Drive Aarhus may cancel a lesson due to illness or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a new time will be arranged as soon as possible.

6. Theory Instruction

• Theory instruction takes place as class sessions and/or via our online learning platform.
• Class sessions are held at the times indicated in the course schedule.
• It is the student’s own responsibility to attend theory instruction and prepare for the theory test.
• Access to online theory instruction is granted at the start of the course and is valid for the course period.

7. Liability

• Drive Aarhus carries liability insurance for driving instruction in accordance with applicable legislation.
• Students must attend lessons sober and otherwise fit to receive instruction. The instructor may refuse to conduct a lesson if the student is deemed unfit to participate. In such cases, the lesson will be counted as completed.
• Students must bring valid identification and any provisional driving licence to driving lessons.
• Drive Aarhus is not liable for delays caused by the student’s own circumstances, including lack of preparation or absence from theory or driving instruction.

8. Course Validity

• A driving course is valid for up to 18 months from the course start date, unless otherwise agreed.
• Unused driving lessons expire 12 months after the course start date.
• Extension of the course period may be arranged for an additional fee.

We aim to respond to complaints within 14 days. If we are unable to resolve the matter, you may refer the complaint to:

• Center for Klagelosning (Dispute Resolution Centre) under Naevnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark. Complaints can be submitted at naevneneshus.dk.
• The European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform for cross-border disputes: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Changes to These Terms

Drive Aarhus reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Changes take effect upon publication on the website. Existing agreements are not affected by subsequent changes.
